severe weather. Coach Mick Regan's side saw a two-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 5-8 on the year. The host Pioneers improved to 10-2-2 on the season.

Logan Rinderknecht gave UWP the lead when he scored off a Brad Strobel corner in the 23rd minute. The Pioneers outshout Augustana 10-1 in the first half, but couldn't extend their lead and took the 1-0 advantage to intermission.

In the 49th minute, Rinderknecht parlayed a Braxton Rottinghaus assist into his seventh goal of the season to give Platteville a cushion.

The Pioneers' final goal came two minutes later. This time, it was Rinderknecht assisting on a goal by Matt Walter.

UWP, which has allowed only eight goals all season, limited Augustana to just three shots in the match. Sophomore Chris Plantz (Larkin HS, Elgin, Ill.) was the only Viking to get a shot on frame. Platteville keeper Nate Miller recorded his only save on the play. The Pioneers put seven of their 17 shots on goal. Senior keeper Jeff Bell (Pleasant Valley HS, Bettendorf, Iowa), who suffered his first loss against a pair of wins, made four saves for Regan's squad.

Platteville took all six corners in the match and was whistled for just three fouls to 15 for the visitors.

On Saturday, October 20, Augustana travels to Elmhurst for a key CCIW match with the Bluejays. Kickoff at Langhorst Field is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
