Scott Mejia's club finishes the year 8-8-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the CCIW, while the Lady Reds improved to 10-7-1 on the season and 3-4-1 in the league.
The match was scoreless for nearly 62 minutes until Joanne Stanfa scored her fourth goal of the season to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. Dejno and Courtney Lee were credited with assists on the play.
Augustana got the equalizer in the 66th minute. Junior

Sydney Ion (Aquinas HS, La Crosse, Wis.) and her Carthage counterpart Emily Furmanek each recorded three saves from the 78th minute on to keep the match tied until Dejno's game winner. In the final minute, Dejno parlayed assists from Stanfa and Maggie Washalesky into her seventh goal of the season.
The Lady Reds outshot Augustana 15-12 and put nine on frame to seven for the Vikings. The hosts took six corners and Augustana two.
Ion finished with seven saves and Furmanek recorded six.
