The Augustana program began play in 2012 and quickly established itself as one of the premier outfits in Midwestern small college lacrosse. In five seasons of competition, the Vikings have compiled a record of 88-13 and have advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA Division III Tournament each of the last four years.
After competing as an independent during its inaugural season, Augustana was a member of the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference for two years until the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin began sponsorship of the sport in 2015. During their four seasons as conference members, the Vikings have never lost a league game, going a combined 30-0 with two championships each in the MWLC and CCIW.
