Ashley Anderson (Sherrard HS, Viola, Ill.) for a leadoff single in the bottom of the first. She stole second and eventually scored on a Jenna Trojniar groundout.

Rachel Anderson (Rochester HS, Rochester, Ill.). Freshman
Carly Wilson (Johnsburg HS, Ringwood, Ill.) followed with an RBI single and scored the Vikings' third run on a single by junior
Brittany Kellett (The Woodlands HS, The Woodlands, Texas).
It didn't take long for the Cardinals to respond. They tied it with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third and regained the lead with two more in the fourth. Starr helped her own cause with an RBI double in the third and a run-scoring single in the fourth.
North Central made it 6-3 in the fifth on a Amanda Walker double and Brooke Kehoe's RBI single.
In the top of the seventh, junior
Amanda Ebert (Geneva HS, Geneva, Ill.) delivered a one-out, pinch-hit double to right center. One out later, Wilson single her in, but Starr got
Ashley Anderson to ground out to end the game.
