ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — After earning the CCIW's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament with a conference tournament title this past Saturday, the Augustana men's basketball team found out its fate on Monday. The top-ranked, 26-1 Vikings will open NCAA tournament play versus St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament champion Westminster (Mo.) (12-15) at Carver Center on Friday, March 4. Augustana and the Blue Jays will play in the evening's second contest at 7:30 p.m.

The rest of the Rock Island first and second round bracket will include Hope (23-3) and Mount St. Joseph (18-9), which square off in Friday's first game at 5:30 p.m. The winner of that contest will face the Augustana-Westminster winner on Saturday, March 5 at 7:00 p.m. with a trip to the sectionals on the line. Hope was the regular season champion in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
