Less than 24 hours after scoring a season-high 21 goals in a 21-6 win over Thiel, Newman's charges upped the ante by one in hitting the nets 22 times against Dubuque on a wind-swept Thorson-Lucken Field.
Augustana bolted out to a 12-0 lead at halftime and the Vikings scored the first 12 goals of the game before the Spartans got on the board.

Emily Handrahan (Lake Zurich HS, Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) got things started less than two minutes into the game (28:27) when she scored off an assist from sophomore
Olivia Mayer (Libertyville HS, Green Oaks, Ill.). Senior
Kelly Stelzer (Wheaton Warrenville South HS, Wheaton, Ill.) scored the next two goals and three of the next four as the Vikings broke open the game early.
Stelzer's first goal was at 27:51 and her second was at 25:14 with senior

Shelby Cosman (Marian Catholic HS, St. John, Ind.) scored at 25:12 to make it 4-0 and Stelzer notched her third goal of the game at 23:51 to make it 5-0.
Kargl, who would finish the game with five goals and four assists, scored the next two goals at 21:07 and 18:34. Stelzer assisted on the first and the second one was unassisted. Sophomore
Anne Hopkins (Mother Mcauley HS, Chicago, Ill.) scored off a Mayer assist at 17:06 to make it 8-0 and Pavlik tallied at 16:35 with Kargl assisting to bump the margin to 9-0. Kargl scored the 10

That started the running clock, which was never rescinded as the Vikings dominated this game in every aspect.
Augustana held a 40-6 advantage in shots, including 23-6 in the first half and won 22 of 25 draw controls. The Vikings also were successful on 13 of 15 clear attempts while Dubuque was only good on seven of 24.
Kargl led the winners with five goals and four assists for a total of nine points while Stelzer had five goals and two assists for seven points. Hopkins scored three goals with two assists and Mayer had a goal and three assists.

Jenna Hofmann (Columbine HS, Littleton, Colo.) got the win in goal to move her record to 8-1 on the year. She had two saves and also scored a goal late in the game when she was used on the field.
Augustana is now 8-1 overall and 1-0 in the CCIW while Dubuque, which got a goal from Breann Tjaarda in the first minute of the second half, falls to 6-3 and 1-1 in league play.
The Vikings will be in action on Saturday, April 4 against Kalamazoo at 1:00 p.m.
