Kevin Gleason (Loyola Academy, Chicago, Ill.) each scored unassisted goals within two minutes of each other to put the contest on ice.
Augustana led the entire way with the exception of when Zach Hubbell answered
Colin Haley's
(St Charles East HS, St. Charles, Ill.) goal with one of his own to tie at 1-1 midway through the first period.
Hawkins opened the second quarter with a power play goal off a Haley assist and Davis added back-to-back goals to give the Vikings a 4-1 lead. The first of Davis' scores was also assisted by Haley. Cameron Braun and Hubbell scored to pull the Britons to within 4-3 at the half.
After junior
Jonathan Bryk (Fremd HS, Palatine, Ill.) and Hubbell traded goals to start the third, Gleason found the net with an assist from Haley and Davis added two more goals with helpers from J.P. Palasek
(Montini Catholic HS, Wheaton, Ill.) and Hawkins to give Augustana an 8-4 lead. Urso scored with 52 seconds left to get the hosts within 8-5 after three quarters.
Goals by Brad Bogus and Cameron Braun completed a three-goal Briton run to cut their deficit to 8-7. Bryk and Urso traded goals prior to the Vikings' strong finish.
Junior goalie
Jack Peters (Maine South HS, Park Ridge, Ill.) made 10 saves and earned the win to improve to 6-1 this year.

Albion outshot the Vikings by a 34-28 margin, but Augustana put one more attempt on goal (19-18) that the hosts.
