semifinal loss to Illinois Wesleyan Wednesday in Bloomington, Illinois.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan's Brie Siebert and Sydney Fox scored Wednesday night as the Titans eliminated Augustana from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin tournament by a score of 2-0 at Neis Field. Coach Scott Mejia's Vikings fall to 12-5-2 on the year, while IWU improved to 14-5-1.

Illinois Wesleyan outshot Augustana 7-1 in the first half, although neither side could get on the scoreboard. Finally, after 59 scoreless minutes, Siebert gave the Titans the lead with her fourth goal of the season off an assist from Emily Johnson. Fox added an insurance goal—her 12th of the year—in the 74th minute, with Tess Bottorff getting credit for the assist.

The Vikings had trouble mounting an attack in the match. Senior Taylor Navarro (York HS, Elmhurst, Ill.) had two of Augustana's three shot attempts and both of the team's shots on goal. Each was saved by Titan keeper Dana Jourdan. Junior Kelly Farell (St. Ursula Academy, Sylvania, Ohio) had the Vikings' other shot attempt.

Augustana sophomore Margaret Williams (Rock Island HS, Rock Island, Ill.) recorded three saves in goal, but suffered her second loss against four wins and a tie.

IWU ended up with a 12-3 advantage in shots and a 5-0 edge in corners. The Titans advance to play top-seeded Wheaton in Saturday's CCIW tournament final.
