ELMHURST, Ill. – Senior Danny Campagna (Glenbard North HS, Carol Stream, Ill.) scored in the 86th minute at Elmhurst Saturday to level Augustana's match with the Bluejays at 1-1. Four more minutes of regulation and 20 minutes of overtime didn't yield another goal and the contest ended in a 1-1 tie. The Vikings move to 8-4-1 on the season, while Elmhurst is now 6-3-3. Both team sport marks of 0-1-1 in CCIW play.

With Augustana trailing and running out of time, sophomore Ryan Curry (Lincoln-Way West HS, New Lenox, Ill.) lofted a free kick in the direction of the Bluejay goal. Campagna got a head on it and beat keeper John Reglin for the equalizer. The goal was Campagna's first of the season and Curry was credited with his first assist. Reglin came up with a save on the final shot of regulation play—Anthony D'Angelo's (Stevenson HS, Buffalo Grove, Ill.) attempt in the 89th minute.

The Vikings outshot the hosts 6-2 in the two overtime periods, getting off three shots in each session, but couldn't come away with the game winner. Reglin made a save on a Jonathan Colucci (Glenbard North HS, Carol Stream, Ill.) shot in the 108th minute and D'Angelo had the final attempt of the afternoon in the 109th minute. It went wide.

Elmhurst's Josh Rudd had given the Bluejays a 1-0 lead with his second goal of the season in the 52nd minute. It came off of an assist by Nick Fecci.

Augustana finished with a 24-13 advantage in shots, while Elmhurst had a 4-3 edge in corners. Reglin was credited with 10 saves, while senior Brett Johnson (Zion-Benton HS, Beach Park, Ill.) stopped eight shots for the Vikings.
