WHEATON, Ill. – The Augustana women's volleyball team ended its 2013-14 season with a pair of losses on Saturday, November 2 in Wheaton, Illinois. The Vikings fell to Wheaton 3-1 (18-25; 25-20; 18-25; 20-25) in a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin match and then dropped a 3-0 decision to Wisconsin-Whitewater (12-25; 18-25; 11-25) in non-conference action.
Augustana finished the 2013 season with a 16-15 overall record and a mark of 3-4 in CCIW play.
WHEATON 3, AUGUSTANA 1 (25-18; 25-20; 18-25; 20-25)
The match was even through two sets with the Vikings winning the second 25-20 after dropping the first 25-18. The Thunder picked up wins by scores of 25-18 and 25-20 to end Augustana's hopes of securing a fourth, and final, spot in the upcoming CCIW tournament.
Junior
Emily Leazer (St. Viator HS, Mt. Prospect, Ill.) led the Vikings in kills with eight. She also had three digs and a setting assist. Sophomore
Martha Murray (Evanston HS, Evanston, Ill.) contributed seven kills with nine digs and two service aces. Junior
Dory Dudley (Tremont HS, Tremont, Ill.) had five kills, four blocking assists and a dig. Junior
Samantha Kammerman (Sherrard HS, Milan, Ill.) chipped in with three kills and three blocking assists.
Sophomore
Jordan Hampel (Hilliard Davidson HS, Hilliard, Ohio) and freshman
Hannah Lindaman (North Scott HS, Eldridge, Iowa) each had 12 setting assists. Hampel had two service aces and nine digs while Lindaman picked up 16 digs, one service ace and one kill.
Sophomore
Kylie Siebert (Kaneland HS, Sugar Grove, Ill.) led the team with 24 digs.
UW-WHITEWATER 3, AUGUSTANA 0 (25-12; 25-18; 25-11)
The Vikings played all 17 players in the final match of the season.
Junior
Dory Dudley (Tremont HS, Tremont, Ill.) and sophomore
Martha Murray (Evanston HS, Evanston, Ill.) had four kills apiece to lead in that category. Junior
