BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— Augustana and Illinois Wesleyan battled for 110 minutes Saturday, but neither side could find the goal and the contest ended in a 0-0 tie. The Vikings are now 8-2-3 on the year and 1-1-1 in the CCIW, while the Titans are 8-1-4 overall and 2-0-1 in the league.
Augustana survived a remarkable 15-1 deficit in corners to manage the tie. Illinois Wesleyan also outshot the Vikings 14-6 in the match, although the visitors put five of their shots on goal to just three for the Titans.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Meredith Chew (Paradise Valley HS, Phoenix, Ariz.) recorded three saves in her fourth solo shutout of the season. Chew is now 7-2-3 on the year. Zoie Samaan had three saves for IWU.
