KENOSHA, Wis. – Carthage's Ryan Crane scored his second goal of the match in the eighth minute of overtime, lifting the Red Men to a 2-1 win over Augustana at Art Keller Field Wednesday. The Vikings drop to 5-5-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the CCIW, while the hosts improve to 9-4-1 and 1-1-1 in the conference.

Brett Johnson (Zion Benton HS, Beach Park, Ill.), keeping the Vikings from their second straight overtime victory. The goal was Crane's fifth of the season.

Michael Brazinski (Plainfield East HS, Plainfield, Ill.) gave Augustana the lead in the sixth minute, scoring his second goal of the year. Sophomore
Danny Campagna (Glenbard North HS, Carol Stream, Ill.) was credited with his first assist on the play.
The Vikings held that lead until the 27th minute, when Crane converted a cross from Billy Hamilton to level the match at 1-1.
The hosts held a 19-11 advantage in shot attempts, although each team put just four shots on goal. Carthage also had a 10-3 edge in corners. Johnson and his Red Men counterpart, Nick Huftalin, each recorded two saves.
