A three-year track & field letter winner for Augustana, Kyle Deets joined Coach David Thompson’s staff prior to the 2017 season. He will work with the Viking throwers.
As a senior, Deets was a co-captain for Coach Paul Olsen’s 2016 team that captured CCIW titles both indoors and outdoors. He finished second in the conference in the weight throw indoors and third in the hammer outdoors. His career best of 174’ 2” in the hammer ranks seventh on Augustana’s all-time performance.
A native of Polo, Illinois, Deets graduated from Augustana in 2016 with a degree in biology. He is currently employed as a physical therapy technician at Rock Valley Physical Therapy in Davenport, Iowa.
