MacDonald graduated from Rockridge High School in 2009, competing as a three-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and track for four years. She attended and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Illinois Wesleyan University, and participated in basketball and track while a Titan. Following graduation, she decided to pursue a career in education as a high school business and finance teacher, while also coaching girl's basketball and track and field at Rockridge. She is currently working towards completing her Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State.Â
Haley lives on their family farm in Aledo, IL with her husband and daughter.
