Evan Weyrauch was named as an assistant coach of the Augustana men's and women's swimming & diving programs in August of 2015. He joins as recent graduate of Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin where he was a four-year letter winner on the swim team.
No stranger to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, Weyrauch was the recipient of the “Coach’s Award” in 2015 and “Nathaniel Chapman Award” in 2014, the team member who best represents the ideal qualities demanded of the competitive atmosphere and the team member who best displays excellence in academics, teamwork, leadership and work ethic respectively. Weyrauch has succeeded outside of the pool as he was a four-year Dean’s List student, four-year member of the Academic All-CCIW team and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honors Fraternity.
Weyrauch prior to Augustana, coached for the Patriots Swimming Team at the Pleasant Prairie Recplex in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. In addition to his experiences in Pleasant Prairie, he coached and managed at the Dolphin Swim and Tennis Club in Rockford, Illinois. The assistant coach holds a Level-II USA Swim Coaching certification in addition to certifications in CPR and Lifesaving.
