Josh Sherrod has been a member of the Augustana women’s track and field coaching staff since December of 2010. Sherrod works primarily with the distance runners during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. The 2004 St. Ambrose graduate has also served as an assistant coach to the women’s cross country team since fall 2011.
While competing at St. Ambrose Sherrod received the team MVP award in 2002 and served as the team captain from 2002-04. In both 2000 and 2002 Sherrod qualified for the NAIA National Cross Country Meet. Sherrod served as a volunteer assistant coach for the St. Ambrose men’s and women’s cross country programs as well as track programs from 2004-07.
Sherrod received his bachelor’s degree in finance along with his Master’s of business administration from St. Ambrose in 2009.
Aside from coaching and running, Sherrod and his wife Amanda have a two year old son named Ethan. Sherrod met Amanda while in Iraq working his full time job for the Department of Defense.
