Tom Jennings joined the Augustana staff in August of 2021. He has been teaching tennis for 17 years and has worked with the Thrive Tennis Academy, producing some of the best junior players in the state of Iowa. He has served as the Junior Academy Director at the Quad City Tennis Club and Head Tennis Professional at Westfield Tennis Club before that and holds a position as Tennis Director at Crow Valley Golf Club through the summer months.
Jennings played college tennis at Cornell College and Coe College where he was named the 2008 Iowa Conference Most Valuable Player. He also was the 2008 Iowa Conference (now the American Rivers Conference) Singles and Doubles Champion.
Tom is USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association) certified as an Elite Professional which includes being USTA SafePlay Certified. He currently serves as the Regional Vice President for the USPTA Missouri Valley Board. He is also currently the Junior Competition Chair and the 10&Under Chair for the USTA Iowa Tennis Association.
In 2011 and 2013 Tom received the USPTA Missouri Valley “Iowa Professional of the Year” award.
