Steve Jess joined the golf staff in 2022 in an alumni relations and coaching role. He attended Libertyville H.S. and was a four year member of their golf team. At Augustana, Jess played golf his junior and senior seasons and earned CCIW All-Conference honors in 1985. “Playing college golf at Augustana literally changed my life. Everything I have been blessed with goes back to my 2 years on the golf team. Now being able to work with the Viking men and women golfers has been the most rewarding and enjoyable “job” I have ever had. It is great to see their passion for the game, and to watch them grow and mature as golfers and young men and women. The coaches and I will always work hard to help them achieve their goals and best performance.”
Steve has spent his entire career in the golf industry, primarily working in sales and marketing positions as well as several e-commerce ventures. He has lived in San Diego, CA since 1993 and he and his wife Stacey have two daughters Kelsey (husband Bryan Abbott) and Alison.
