The $18 million, 52,000-square-foot Peter J. Lindberg, M.D., Center for Health and Human Performance opened in August 2021. The state-of-the-art facility combines academics, athletics and wellness to create a space that brings physical and mental wellness together.
Â
Inside the Lindberg Center is the Anne Greve Lund Natatorium, named in honor of the college’s first director of women’s athletics.
Anne Catherine Greve ‘26 Lund was the director of women’s athletics at Augustana from 1924-1934. She assumed faculty status while still a student at the college and almost single-handedly pushed women’s athletics toward the modern era.

• State-of-the-art 10-lane, 25-yard, 7-foot depth competition pool
• Diving well
• 250-seat spectator viewing area
• Swim Performance Lab featuring a SwimEx pool system for sports physical therapy, training and swimming stroke analysis
