BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team earned its first CCIW win after defeating the Illinois Wesleyan Titans on Saturday by a score of 6-1.

In doubles action, Anna-Maria Huebel and Colleen Larry took the top spot with a 6-3 victory. Maripaz Ramirez and Estefi Casillas-Velasco earned a 6-4 win in the No. 2 slot. The Titans took the third matchup, but Augie led 1-0 entering singles aciton. 

Ramirez earned a three-set win in the No. 1 spot with a set scores of 6-4, 2-6, 10-4, while Huebel followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win. Casillas-Velasco earned a 6-4, 6-2 win in the No. 3 matchup, while Larry found success at No. 4 with scores of 7-5, 6-1. Analia Pazmino closed out scoring for Augie with a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the No. 5 slot. Illinos Wesleyan claimed the No. 6 matchup, but the Vikings took the dual 6-1.

With the win, Augie moves to 1-1 on the season and will continue conference play at Millikin tomorrow.
