KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings men's team finished day one of the CCIW Individual Tournament on Friday on the campus of the Carthage Firebirds. 

In round one, Santiago Diaz defeated his opponent from Carthage by a score of 8/7 (11/9), and Saman Rezaeyan conqured Milliking 8/6. Antonio Valdes Spirkin followed with a 8/6 win over Illinois Wesleyan, while Aingeru Garcia Acebo found a 8/3 win against Illinois Wesleyan. Facundo Feldman defeated Carroll 8/4. Grant Meyers earned an 8/2 win over Carthage, while Fernando Carrillo Jimenez claimed a 8/1 win over Millikin and Pedro Nunes closed out the opening round with a 8/3 vicotry against North Central. 

In the semifinal bracket, Diaz advances after securing an 8/3 victory over North Central. Rezaeyan will also advance to the finals after a 8/3 victory over Carthage. Valdes Spirkin earned a backdraw win over Wheaton with a score of 8/4, while Feldman secured a 8/7 (8/6) victory against Millikin. Carrillo Jimenez moves to the final round after a 8/5 victory against Carthage. Nunes closed out day one with a 8/4 win over Carthage to advance to day two. 

The Vikings will be back in action tomorrow for the final round of the CCIW Individual Tournament.
