SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Head coach of the Augustana Vikings women's bowling team, Martin Resner, has been named the NCAA Division III representative to the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Board, the organization announced Monday.

The NTCA has played a key role in the growth and advancement of NCAA women's bowling. The organization's mission is twofold: to foster communication between coaches and the NCAA on bowling legislation and rules, and to provide coaches and institutions with the education and resources needed to grow the sport.

"It was peer nominations, so I'm honored and proud that I was nominated as someone other think would be a good advocate for the sport of bowling and division 3 athletics," said coach Resner. "I've always tried to represent Augustana and myself with good sportsmanship and respect for others. I have always spoken up in the interest of the growth of the sport and for the student-athletes' experience, especially at the D3 Level. I look forward to continuing to do that in a more official capacity as a member of the NTCA Board."

Resner will begin his two-year term as the Division III representative at the start of the 2026-27 bowling season.
