The Augustana Vikings women's swimming & diving team put together another strong campaign in 2025-26, finishing 7-2 in dual competition and placing second at the CCIW Championships. The Vikings closed the season on a six-meet winning streak and continued to establish themselves among the conference's elite, highlighted by three conference championships, multiple individual honors, and another impressive showing in the program's record book.

Augustana opened the year with an alumni meet before earning a dominant 182-31 victory over Loras to begin the dual season. The Vikings then traveled to Grinnell for a pair of challenging meets against Grinnell and Colorado College before bouncing back with a convincing 134-50 victory over Monmouth. The team continued its strong fall by capturing the IWU Halloween Invite before defeating St. Ambrose at home. Following solid performances at the Luther Invitational and Grinnell Invitational, Augustana swept a January tri-meet against Coe and Monmouth, finished second at the Thunder Invitational, claimed the annual Augie and SAU Dive Meet, and capped the regular season with a thrilling 119-111 Senior Day victory over Wheaton.

The Vikings carried that momentum into the CCIW Championships, where they finished as conference runner-up for the second time in four seasons. Kendle Mihm led the charge by claiming conference championships in both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle before anchoring the championship-winning 400 freestyle relay alongside Sophia Warren, Petra Evans, and Mya Pheneger.

Several Vikings produced podium finishes throughout the four-day championship meet. Natalie Salazar earned third-place finishes in both the 100 and 200 backstroke, while Victoria Krol placed third in the 100 butterfly. Mihm added a runner-up finish in the 200 freestyle, with Pheneger and Giselle Koonce giving Augustana three swimmers in the top four of the event. Savannah Shapley finished third in the 200 butterfly and fourth in the 400 individual medley, while the 200 medley relay team of Salazar, Livy Sholl, Charlotte Vogen, and Warren finished second. The Vikings concluded the championships with another victory as Warren, Evans, Pheneger, and Mihm captured the 400 freestyle relay title.

Mihm's standout season earned her the CCIW Elite 26 Award, recognizing excellence in academics and athletics. Mara Walker was selected as the co-recipient of the CCIW Chris Martin Perseverance Award for demonstrating outstanding commitment and resilience in overcoming physical challenges to compete at the conference level.

Success in the classroom continued to accompany the team's accomplishments in the pool. Augustana was recognized as a CSCAA Spring Scholar All-America Team after posting a 3.36 team GPA. Individually, Kendle Mihm, Avery Spacek, Mara Walker, and Giselle Koonce were all named CSC Academic All-District selections.

The Vikings also continued adding their names throughout the Augustana record book. Mihm moved into fourth in program history in the 100 freestyle (52.93) and fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:56.94), while Pheneger entered the top 10 in both events. Koonce, Shapley, and Spacek each recorded top-10 performances in the 1,650 freestyle, and Salazar climbed into the program's top 10 in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. Krol, Charlotte Vogen, and Caitlin Stoddard all posted top-10 marks in the 100 butterfly, while Stoddard also entered the record book in the 100 and 200 individual medley. Shapley added top-10 performances in both the 200 butterfly and 400 individual medley, while Macy Ahlgren remained atop the program's all-time list in the 200 butterfly.
