ELMHURST, Ill -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team defeated the Elmhurst Bluejays 7-0 on Tuesday.

In doubles action, Grant Meyer and Henry Gallowy defeated Elmhurst in straight sets at the No. 1 spot. Pedro Nunes and Tomas Jimenez followed with a 6-0 in the No. 2 matchup, while Saman Rezaeyan and Facundo Feldman earned a walkover victory in the final battle to lead 1-0.

The Vikings maintained momentum in singles play, with Rezaeyan collecting two 6-1 wins in the top spot. Feldman followed with set scores of 6-2 and 6-0 before Meyers secured the No. 3 spot in straight sets. Galloway found two 6-1 victories in the No. 4 matchup, and Nunes and Jimenez sealed the victory with walkovers in their face-offs to take the match 7-0.

With the win, Augie improves to 5-7 on the season and will be back in action on Thursday as they take a trip across the river to battle St. Ambrose.
