ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's team celebrated the senior class with a 5-2 victory over the Loras Duhawks on Sunday.

The Vikings secured the early lead after conquering all the doubles matchups. Hannah Colbert and Anna-Maria Huebel sealed a 7-5 victory. Colleen Larry and Maripaz Ramirez, along with Natasha Gauerke and Maitreyi Shrikhande, each picked up 6-1 wins. 

The Duhawks took the top singles spot, but Augie responded with the next three matchups. Ramirez sealed a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2, while Huebel grabbed set scores of 6-2, 6-0, and Larry conquered 7-5, 6-3. Loras took the No. 5 spot, but Kassidy Anderson closed with a 6-1, 6-4 victory.

With the win, Augie moves to 8-9 on the season and will be back in action for the CCIW Championships starting on April 23.
