ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team dominated the Loras Duhawks on Sunday by a score of 7-0.

The Vikings set the tone early in doubles play with three straight victories. Aingeru Garcia and Jorge Marcelo kicked it off with a 6-4 win in the top spot before Grant Meyers and Santiago Lazo held strong with a set score of 7⁷-6⁴. Facundo Feldman and Arturo Asensio Moreno closed doubles action with a 6-3 advantage. 

Augie continued their momentum in the singles matchups, starting with Saman Rezaeyan and Marcelo securing 6-1, 6-4 victories. Lazo forced extra sets in at the No. 3 spot with scores of 6-2, 6⁴-7⁷, and 1¹⁰-0³. Feldman followed with 6-2, 6-1 victories, while Garcia sealed 6-3, 6-2 wins. Meyers closed the event with set scores of 6-0, 6-3.

With the win, Augie improves to 10-9 on the season and will be back in action next Sunday for the final home matchup of the season against Luther.
