NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Aingeru Garcia of the Augustana Vikings men's tennis team has been named the CCIW Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Garcia earned this honor after his undefeated performance in the CCIW matchups against Wheaton and North Central. The junior started the weekend with a 6-3 victory in the top spot of the doubles alongside teammate Jorge Marcelo before earning two 6-3 victories in singles play. On Sunday, Garcia continued his success with a 7⁹-6⁷ victory with partner Marcelo against North Central and followed with a 6-2 and 6-1 win in singles action.
