Box Score WHEATON, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team defeated the Wheaton Thunder by a score of 5-2 on Saturday.

The Vikings took the early lead after coming out victorious in all double matchups. Aingeru Garcia and Jorge Marcelo took the top spot by a score of 6-3. In the No. 2 matchup, Santiago Diaz and Saman Rezaeyan took the set 7-5 before Grant Meyers and Santiago Lazo sealed a 6-2 win in the No.3 spot. 

In singles play, Diaz came out on top at No. 1 with a score of 6-2 and 6-3 before Marcelo came back in extra sets with scores of 3-6, 6-0, and 6-2 at No. 3. In the No. 4 slot, Lazo won with scores of 6-4 and 6-2, while Garcia Acebo claimed No. 6 with set scores of 6-3. The Thunder took the No. 2 and No. 5 spots, but Augie Seasled the 5-2 victory.

With the win, Augie improves to 6-7 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. The Vikings will be back in action tomorrow for a CCIW matchup against North Central.
