PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings men's and women's swimming teams competed in the 800-meter free relay on night one of the CCIW Championships on Wednesday. 

Tyler Leslie, Oskar Bannister, Emanuel Anguelov, and Mark Addison clocked in first, with a huge 16-second gap, at 6:40.85. This time was 0.99 seconds off from the best time in Division III. In the B-Finals, Matthew Meyer, Cesar Castillo, Trentin Lechleitner, and Teddy McGuire touched first in the heat with a time of 6:59.28.

For the women, Giselle Koonce, Kendle Mihm, Caitlin Stoddard, and Mya Pheneger clocked in second at 7:57.17. Avery Spacek, Mara Walker, Petra Evans, and Kylee Blaha finished first in the B-Final heat with a time of 7:58.93.

After day one, the men sit in third with 99 team points, while the women are third with 93 points. Swimming events will be back in action tomorrow.
