ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's bowling team finished seventh out of nine teams on Sunday at the 2026 Vikings Classic hosted by the Vikings. Augie concluded the event with a 3-5 record with a total traditional score of 4,231 and scored 3,326 pins in Baker play for a total of 7,557 pins.
Cassie Kontos led the Vikings with a sixth-place individual placement with a total sum of 948 pins in five games, with a game high of 224 in game five.
Samantha Olson followed with 21st with a score of 847 in five games, with a high of 194 in game two.
Anna Ricci secured a top-30 finish with a total score of 721 in four games, with a high of 200 in her second game.
As a team, the Vikings defeated Edgewood in the third traditional match by a score of 877-678 and followed with another win against Central Missouri by a score of 875-830. Augie wrapped up day one of the event with a record of 2-3 with wins against the No. 23 team in all divisions and a No. 5 DII-III-ranked team.Â
On day two, Augie finished the day with a 2-2 record in Baker matches with wins over Quincy and Carthage. The Vikings defeated Quincy with a Baker score of 828-763 before a 4-0 win in match five in a best-of-seven over Carthage.Â
With the two wins on day two, the Vikigns program reaches 200 total wins, and the 30th win this season. The Vikings will be back in action on Feb. 21 for a CCIW dual against Carroll.Â
