ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's and women's swimming & diving programs rolled over the Monmouth Scots and Coe Kohawks on Saturday in the Augustana Triangular. The Vikings defeated Monmouth 163-81 and 182-92.
On the women's side,
Natalie Salazar,
Caitlin Stoddard,
Charlotte Vogen, and
Kendle Mihm kicked off the day with a win in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:54.75. Mihm, Vogen,
Mya Pheneger, and
Sophia Warren closed the event with a win in the 400-yard free relay with a time of 3:48.82.
In individual events,
Giselle Koonce secured the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.26.Â
Victoria Krol finished second with a time of 2:06.60.
Savannah Shapley finished first in the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:19.53, while Mihm touched first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25:16. Mihm also conquered the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.94, and Vogen secured the 100-yard fly with a time of 1:03.01. Shapley conquered the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:21.92.
In the 1-meter diving,
Presley Winters earned a score of 196.70 to seal the victory.Â
With the win, Augie improves to 5-2 on the season and will be back in action on Jan. 16-17 for the Grinnell Invitational.Â
