Golf completes Midwest Region Classic

KANSASAVILLE, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings men's and women's golf teams finished the Midwest Region Classic on Saturday. The men finished 2nd out of 45 teams with a final score of 292 on Friday. Saturday's round was canceled due to all teams being unable to finish the round. The women finished 16th out of 39 teams with a score of 657.

On the men's side, Patrick McGrath led the way after shooting one under par for a score of 71 to finish sixth. Calvin Short and Camden Flack followed, hitting an even par for a score of 72. Jacob Brokaw followed with a round score of 73, while Liam Shannon, Nathan Riha, and Trey Hubner shot 75. 

For the women, Sarah Bond led the team with a tie for 48th with a final score of 162, with round scores of 83 and 79. Lauren Reinerston followed with a score of 164 after hitting 86 and 78. Georgia Holt finished in 65th after shooting 165 and 84, and 81 in the event. 

Other finishers for Augie were Riley Kinsella (170), Emma VanderWall (173), Abby Buechele (173), Kami Jarvill (177), and Lydia Hall (177). 

The men's team will be back in action tomorrow for JV dual agianst Black Hawk and the women return to action on Oct. 6 for the CCIW Championships.
