PEORIA, Ill. -- The men's and women's cross country teams finished the Bradley Intercollegiate Championship on Friday. Both teams finished eighth out of 23 teams.
On the women's side,
Frida Martinez led the team with a 39th-place finish out of 100 participants with a time of 18:29.30.
Keira Nelson clocked in a time of 18:35.60 to sit 42nd and
Sammy Lehr crossed the finish line at 19:10.20 to clinch a 60th-place finish.
Other finishers for Augie were
Norah Wright (19:40.50),
Ryan Jednachowski (19:46.50),
Marie Weber (19:52.80), Mackenzie Meirhaeghe (20:16.00), and
Allison Price (20:27.90).
For the men,
Christian Haywood was the top individual placer with a time of 27:05.80 to clinch 52nd.
Daniel Prochaska crossed the finish line at 27:29.00 for 62nd, and
Jaden Gocken followed at 27:32.80 for 64th.
Other finishers were
Isaac Schuda (27:57.00),
Adam Miller (27:5740),
Ben Gricius (28:13.30),
Ethan Storie (28:14.20), and
Liam Storie (28:18.40).
The Vikings will be back in action on Oct. 4 to host the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational at Saukie Golf Course.
