ROCK ISLAND -- Head athletic trainer,
Denise Yoder, has announced the hiring of Ashley Bosch as a certified trainer and a full-time assistant on the AT staff.
"I am very excited to have her join our athletic training staff," said Yoder. "Ashley understands what we do here and why it is important im providing a high level of health care for our student-athletes. This brings up our total of five full-time staff members to care for approximately 700-plus student-athletes."Â
Bosch, an Augustana alum, earned her undergraduate degree in May of 2021. She served as a student first responder in the sports medicine department before moving onto Northern Illinois to pursue a Master's degree, which she obtained in May of 2024. Most recently, Bosch has been working as an assistant athletic trainer for Western Illinois since July 2024, where she has covered NCAA Division I women's soccer and women's tennis. She holds a diverse portfolio of experiences, which includes an immersive clinical with the United States Air Force Academy, an athletic training stint with USAFA Sports Camps, and various other clinicals at universities and high schools.
Bosch's official start date at Augustana will be Aug. 1. She will provide coverage for football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball. Bosch will also teach First Aid/CPR/AED.
