NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The USTFCCCA announced its regional award winners on Thursday, naming Charlotte Frere of Augustana the Women's Field Athlete of the Year for the Midwest Region.

The junior won her second straight national title in the discus by nearly eight feet, becoming the first women's track & field student-athlete in program history to win multiple national championships. Earlier in the season, Frere launched a throw of 53.10m, which currently sits as the No. 3 furthers throw in Division III history and the best mark in the event in 23 years.
