Odle collects All-American honors in steeple; Reser and Maatouk qualify for finals

GENEVA, Ohio -- Emma Odle wrapped up her stay at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, posting an 11th place finish to earn Second Team All-American status for the second straight season.

After finishing in fifth in her flight and 11th overall on Thursday to qualify for Friday's final, Odle clocked a time of 11:02.27 on Friday to place in the same spot. Elsewhere on the track, Lina Maatouk and McKenzie Reser both moved on to Saturday's finals in their respective events, with Maatouk winning her flight in the 800m with a time of 2:10.81 to earn the automatic qualification. Reser posted a personal-best time of 54.26 in the 400m to sit in third on the day and move to tomorrow's final round. 

Reser will compete in the 400m finals at 1:20 p.m. ET tomorrow, followed by the 200m finals at 2:50 p.m. CT. The 800m event will commence at 2 p.m. ET. 

As a team, the Vikings enter the final day with 14 points and in fifth place.
