GENEVA, Ohio -- Joe Langridge,
Emma Odle, and
McKenzie Reser all had a successful opening day of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday, each qualifying for the finals in their respective events.
Reser took second in her flight with a time of 24.28 to take seventh overall and move on to the final round to take place on Saturday. Langridge claimed sixth in his heat with a time of 9:00.02 in the 3,000m steeplechase to qualify in 11th, while Odle finished fifth in her flight in the same event with a time of 10:49.34 to also earn 11th place and move on to the final round. The finals will take place Friday night.Â
Mike Hudson sits in 16th in the decathlon after his first day of competition. He took fourth in the shot put at 12.25m.
