ICHMOND, Va. -- The Augustana College men and women's swimming & diving teams have
been named by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as Fall 2024 Scholar All-America Teams. The men and women posted GPAs of 3.40 and 3.57, respectively, to earn a spot. To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the Fall 2024 semester. A total of 781 teams exceeded a 3.0 GPA, while each Augustana team was a part of 654 squads to boast a 3.30 or higher.
"I am extremely proud of our student athletes for dedicating themselves to the ultimate goal which is a commitment to excellence in the classroom and the lifelong pursuit of an impactful legacy through career," said head coach Dan Lloyd. "Many times in the current athletic climate, it is apparent that the student part of student-athlete is taking a backseat to accomplishments and fame in competition. I am extremely proud of our program for always putting academics first and having our college support us at all times in that pursuit."
The 2024-25 season marks the ninth year in a row the women have earned this accomplishment and the fifth consecutive season for the men. Both teams were recognized in the fall and spring of the 2023-24 season as Scholar All-America Teams.
