ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's wrestling team fell to the No. 14 Simpson Storm on Sunday by a score of 40-10.

All nine matchups resulted in falls, with Simpson claiming the first four weight classes to secure the early 20-0 lead. In the 131 division, Moni Griffin added five team points for the Vikings, but the Storm followed with the next four categories. Angie Guy closed out the battle with a pin to conclude the dual 40-10.

Mia Vazquez (103), Aine Moffit (145), and Maryam Ndiaye (160) fell to NWCA individually ranked opponents for Simpson. 

With the loss, Augie moves to 2-3 on the season and will be back in action for the Fred Johnson Duals on Saturday, Jan. 3.
