NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Moni Griffin of the Augustana Vikings women's wrestling team has been named the CCIW Women's Wrestler Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Griffin earned this honor after her performance at the Luther Open this past weekend. At the event, the junior secured the victory in the 131 weight class after back-to-back falls in her opening rounds against Southeastern and Southeast. In the quarterfinals, Griffin went on to secure another fall over Hawkeye and then secured a 10-0 technical fall over Wartburg. The junior secured the title over Upper Iowa in 36 seconds, capping an undefeated run.
