METAMORA, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's golf team finished third out of eight teams at the CCIW Championships on Wednesday with a final team score of 958.
Day One Recap
Freshman
Lauren Reinertson and
Riley Kinsella lead Augie in a tie for eighth after shooting a 78 on round one to sit seven over par.
Sarah Bond follows in 11th, just one shot behind with a score of 79, and Madison Barnes shot 80 on day one to sit in 13th.
Georgia Holt shot 82 on the day for 21st, and
Abby Buechele sits at 36th with a round score of 89.Â
On the back nine, the squad improved by eight strokes with Bond and Reinertson shooting just one over with 37's.Â
The Vikings will be back in action for rounds two and three, which will take place tomorrow and Wednesday at Metamora Fields.
Day Two Recap
Kinsella still leads the Vikings in a tie for eighth alongside teammate Bond, who moved up three placements. Bond shot 78 on the day, while Kinsella was one shot behind with a round score of 79.  Holt led Augie in the round with a score of 77 to increase 10 spots on the leaderboard, while Buechele moved eight places after shooting 82 on the day. Barnes shot an 83 in round two, while Reinertson finished the day with a score of 89.
The Vikings will be back in action tomorrow for the final round of the CCIW Championships.
Day Three Recap
Bond closed out the three-day event in ninth after firing a 79 in the final round and Kinsella followed in 10th after shooting a round score of 82 . Holt clinched 15th after firing 84 in round three, while Barnes secured 17th after shooting 87 on the day. Reinertson moved up a placement to sit at 23rd with a round score of 82 and Buechele wrapped up the event in 33nd with a score of 89 in the final round.
Following the three day event, Bond and Kinsella earned First Team All-Confernce Honors, while Hold and Barnes claimed Second Team All-CCIW. Additionally, Holt was named the the CCIW RESPECT award list.Â
This event concludes the women's golf fall season, the spring schedule will be released on a later date.Â
