Men's Preview

Augustana enters the conference meet with momentum and expectation. The Vikings placed second in last year's CCIW Championship with 65 points and a team average of 25:04, returning the majority of that scoring lineup. At the recent Augustana Interregional, Daniel Prochaska led the Vikings in the 8K Blue Race, finishing in 27:03.0. He was followed by Emiliano Almendariz (28:03.2), Adam Miller (28:11.1), Christian Haywood (28:13.8), and Ben Gricius (28:30.2) to round out the top five.

With a potent mix of experience and home-course familiarity, the Vikings aim to challenge reigning champion North Central and hold off contenders such as Wheaton, Elmhurst, and Carroll.

Women's Preview

The Viking women placed fifth at the 2024 CCIW Championship with 103 points but return to Saukie with a tighter pack and valuable postseason experience. At the Interregional, Ryan Jednachowski led Augustana with a 24:10.3 performance, followed by Sammy Lehr (24:56.4) and a season-best 25:11.3 from Norah Wright. Keira Nelson (25:24.1) and Mackenzie Meirhaeghe (25:48.1) completed the scoring effort.

A year removed from their top-five conference finish, the Vikings will look to climb the standings.
