ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings men's wrestling team concluded a non-conference dual meet against St. Ambrose with a criteria win after both teams produced a 21-21 score. 

Jack Reina kicked off the matchup with a comeback in the second period to defeat his opponent in a 17-12 decision and Samuel Deyro followed with a quick pin in the 133 weight class. The Bees took the 141 category before Mikey Rodriguez added six team points following a pin to create a 15-4 score in favor of Augustana.

St. Ambrose conquered the following four weight classes to snatch a 21-15 advantage with just two matches remaining. Jacob Badger helped the team inch closer with a 12-5 decision in the 197 division to pull the Vikings within three at 21-18. Josh Woodrey closed out the night with a big win over his foe in the heavyweight category to draw the dual at 21-21 after an 8-2 decision. 

Augie earned the tiebreaking win by having the most pins throughout the match.

With the win, Augie moves to 8-2 on the season and will be back in action on Saturday, January 25 for the CCIW Duals.
