LANSING, Mich. -- The Augustana Vikings women's bowling team set a pair of school records and saw a top-five finish individually over the weekend at the D3 Invite, placing third out of five teams.
The Vikings finished the weekend with a 5-3 record with a total score of 4,305 in traditional play and 4,407 in Baker games to collect a total of 8,712 pins.
Cassie Kontos led the team with an individual placement of fourth with a total of 960 to average 192 in five games. Sarah Stevanovic followed in ninth place with a score of 874 with an average of 174.80 after five games. Maddie Lathrop placed 13th with a score of 830 to average 166, while Cami Flores finished 14th with a total of 802 and an average of 160.40.
The team rolled 1,032 to set a new Baker series record, breaking the previous record of 957. Augie also rolled a clean 267 to set a new Baker game record, with the previous record being 254.
The team will be back in action on February 7-9 for the Flyer Classic in Lockport, Ill.
