ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Augustana Vikings men's cross country team earned both a team and individual win on Saturday at the annual Brissman-Lundeen Invitational at Saukie Golf Course.
The Vikings won by nearly 20 points on the men's side and were led by three runners inside the top five.
Finbar Martin led the way to the finish with a time of 26:11.1. In second place closely behind Martin was
Grant Ackard, who crossed the finish in a time of 26:15.2.
Joe Langridge,
Adam Miller, and
Joe Gibbons rounded out the Vikings' top five. Langridge finished in fifth place with a time of 26:37.2. Miller and Gibbons finished in 20th and 21st overall with times of 27:36.5 and 27:38.9, respectively.
Augie ended the meet with 49 team points, 19 ahead of second-place Illinois Club.
Augustana will be back in action next Friday at the DIII Pre-Nationals meet in Terre Haute, Indiana.
