Women’s basketball announces 2024 recruiting class

ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's basketball coach Mark Beinborn and his staff have announced the program's incoming 2024 recruiting class. It consists of eight freshmen and one transfer. 

Danae Addison-Taylor, a 5'9 wing player from Boulder, Colo., attended Fairview High School where she earned Academic All-State and the Iron Knight. During Addison-Taylor's final season, she was named Academic All-State for the second consecutive year. 

Ella Chapman is a 5'7 guard out of Bolingbrook, Ill. and Naperville North High School. Chapman was a varsity captain her senior season and earned a GPA of 4.0 for seven consecutive semesters. 

Jaida Collins, a 5'7 guard, arrives at Augustana as a transfer from Kirkwood Community College. She is a native of Chicago, Ill. and Gwendolyn Brooks High School. At Kirkwood, Collins was a Dean Scholar and a Division II JUCO National Champion.

Audrey Erickson, a 5'8 point guard out of Silvis, Ill., remains close to home after competing at Alleman High School. During her career, she earned 1,000 career points, while also setting a new school record in steals in a single game with nine twice. She sits second in school history in assists with 416 and three-pointers made with 93. Erickson was an honorable mention in Illinois Media All-State and was second-team Illinois Basketball Association All-State. In the Western Big Six Conference, she was a two-time all-conference selection. On the academic side, Erickson earned WB6 Academic All-Conference and was an Academic All-State honorable mention. 

Lexi Hayes, a 5'6 guard, remains in the Quad Cities area after graduating from Assumption High School in Davenport, Iowa, where she earned third-team all-conference and was an all-star selection her senior year.

Ciara Hull is a 5'7 shooting guard from Silvis, Ill. and remains close to home after graduating from United Township. While playing for the Panthers, she was a two-time team captain, played volleyball, and ran track. Hull also earned the Gale Vogler scholarship award.

Sophia Klacik is a 5'6 guard out of Sycamore, Ill. and Sycamore High School, where she accomplished academic all-conference four years in a row. Klacik also earned All-Area honors and first-team all-conference her senior year. 

Tia Lewis, a 5'9 forward out of East Moline, Ill. comes to Augie after graduating from United Township High School. While at United Township, Lewis set the assist record, was a conference champion, was a two-time Regional Champion, and earned second-team all-conference honors twice. 

Ainsley Norton, a 5'6 guard out of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Cheyenne Mountain High School was a four-time varsity starter and a captain. She was also a member of the National Honors Society with a 3.7 GPA. 

Dolly Smith, a 5'4 point guard from Wheaton, Ill. attended St. Francis High School, where she was a three-time conference champion and a regional champion her senior year. Smith collected over 100 three-pointers, 240 assists, and 200 steals throughout her career.
