WOOSTER, Ohio -- The National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America has announced its final National Players of the Week for 2024. Augustana freshman Riley Fuller is the organization's Rookie of the Week for April 29 - May 5. Fuller is the second Vikings player to ever win NCBWA weekly honors, joining Alex Simon as the other recipient. Simon garnered Rookie of the Week recognition back in 2021. 

Fuller was recently named CCIW Pitcher of the Week after making two appearances in Augie's 13-8 win against Monmouth on Tuesday, April 30, and the 4-2 victory against Carthage on Saturday, May 5. The freshman secured the save in the win against Monmouth with four innings pitched and seven strikeouts. On Saturday, Fuller collected the win with five innings pitched and two strikeouts. In both games, Fuller allowed only six hits and no runs in his nine innings.
