NORMAL, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's golf team completed the two-day IWU Invite on Saturday, finishing in a tie for 20th place out of 37 teams.

Sam Evenson was the leader for the Vikings, earning a top 20 placement out of over 200 golfers in 16th after shooting round scores of 77 and 70. Four of the five golfers for Augie improved on their round one scores on Saturday, including Alexandre Thery and Vilhelm Johansson, who each posted a Saturday score of 77 after shooting an 80 on Friday. Both finishing in a tie for 95th overall. Adam Soczka also improved his score by a stroke on Saturday, finishing with a total of 159.

The Augustana "B" team was led by Jacob Brokaw in 111th place after shooting 79 both days.

As a team, the Vikings finished with a score of 614, tied with UW-Eau Claire in 20th and just five strokes out of 16th overall. 

Augustana will be back in action on April 13 for the two-day Knox Invitational.
