NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Emma Odle and Charlotte Frere of the Augustana Vikings women's track and field team have been named the CCIW Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. 

Odle earned the track student-athlete of the week award after shattering her own program record in the 3000-meter steeplechase by 20 seconds and finishing seventh with a time of 10:49.57 at the WashU Distance Carnival on Friday.

Frere set a new school record in discus on Saturday to notch the field student-athlete of the week award, throwing 49.09 meters at the Southern Miss Invitational to grab first place. The mark breaks a 16-year record of 48.7 set by Marissa Banks in 2008 and is No. 1 in Division III so far this season.
