SHERRARD, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's golf team competed at the Fyre Lake Invitational on Monday, finishing third out of 15 teams.

Noah Ehlenbach and Kevin Cortez led the Vikings with a score of 79 to finish in a tie for seventh place. Sam Evenson followed in a tie for ninth place, hitting 10-over par for a total of 80. Vilhelm Johansson and Adam Soczka also finished in the top 20 with a total of 81 to end in a tie for 14th.

Other scores for Augie were Patrick McGrath and Alexandre Thery with 83, and Jacob Brokaw at 84.

As a team, the Vikings hit 45-over par, which was only seven shots behind St. Ambrose in second. 

The Vikings will return to action on April 26-27 to host the Viking Invitational at Highland Springs Golf Course.
